When I thought of SolidLine my thoughts drifted of to the ancient Greeks to be more precise the Greek Hoplites.
The word hoplite derives from hoplon meaning an item of amour or equipment.
They were a citizen-militia and were armed as spearman in a phalanx formation.
The hoplites where a very well trained unit, and they fought as one. They formed an impenetrable line of spears and shields, ( a SolidLine ) and crushed anyone that stood in their way on the battlefield, or that tried to breach their ranks. Only from the sides and rear they were vulnerable. Other troops that were less important: hippies ( cavalry ) generally protected the flanks, when present at all. Battles were usually set piece and intended to be decisive. These battles were short, bloody, and brutal, and thus required a high degree of discipline. Both forces lined up on a level field, usually in a rough rectangular formation around eight ranks deep ( though this varied ).

This is where SolidLine is based upon, camaraderie, discipline, fun, honour. So basically, an impenetrable line of friends who stand together in the face of danger, and who get drunk when it's over.

Our guild motto is also "Together we are strong, Together we form a SolidLine"

SolidLine was born on the 21st of October 2007 by Flavius.
SolidLine is started out as an Age of Conan (AoC) guild on the Crom (PvE) server. We started out there with a nice steady group of friends who already been a while together and got to know each other well in the pre-release stage of AoC. After the first 3 months we had our ups and downs with the guild and also with the game. Many left due to the game not bringing what it should, and we met new friends. Many of them kept the guild going and we reached all the goals that the game had to offer. Some that still have to be introduced like Tier 3 raiding, we have not done but i’m confident that when it will be released we will just be as successful there as with the other Tiers. While playing in AoC we merged with two guilds "Legends" and "Shadow Guard" after a while Age of Conan got really boring, the content didn't got updated soon enough and when it came it was often worse then before, that and a struggle inside the guild made it for me clear that I was not the right leader anymore for SL in AoC. The spirit that was in the guild in 2007 and a big part of 2008 was no longer there, we drifted of to a hardcore stage and that didn't feel right. So I decided to leave AoC in March 2009, and also SolidLine in AoC for that matter. Now new games are on the horizon and we will be making a new start there.

Aion is the game that we will start to play, the 25th of September 2009  it's going to be released and we can't wait to start. We are playing the Asmodians in the closed beta and will also play these and launch.

We are now a month underway and its starting to look really nice.
Some people decided to leave they  went back to there old games, most people don't like the grind.
We are now activly searching new players to join our ranks.

We have a our own Ventrilo server running for our members; it is online 24/7 and can be used by members freely.
We have our own website / forum which can be accessed by our members
